There are three tropical disturbances in the Atlantic which could become named storms this week, as the NHC says two of these tropical waves could become tropical cyclones within the next 2-5 days.

Tropical storm triple-threat in the Atlantic

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is closely watching three areas of disturbed weather in the Atlantic which they believe are likely to become named tropical cyclones within the next five days, the Southern Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

The next three 2020 storm names on the list are Laura, Marco, and Nana.

You need to get prepared now

Forecasters are warning that this could be a record-setting hurricane season, which could come close to or equal that of 2005. If you live in any areas that could be affected by tropical weather, it’s imperative that you be prepared for a weather emergency.

In addition to making an emergency plan, you need to have an emergency kit. Most of all, you need to be able to contact authorities if you need help and communicate with family, friends and neighbors.

Even if you are struggling with unemployment, a phone is something you can’t do without. There are many deals available that can provide you with the Samsung free phone.

System closest to US has 80% chance of development

One system that is nearest to the United States, and currently in the Caribbean Sea, has been given a 80 percent chance of development by the NHC over the next 5 days

The system is expected to move into the Western Caribbean later this week where conditions will be more favorable for development. According to the NHC, the likelihood of tropical development starts on Friday and into the weekend.

It’s still too early to predict where the storm is likely to make landfall, but but 6 out of 7 storm tracks put it in the Gulf of Mexico, anywhere between Houston and the Florida Panhandle. A seventh trajectory puts it in the Gulf closer to southwestern Mexico, Wink News reported.

Second system has 90% chance of development

The NHC is giving a second system an even higher probability of tropical development, with a likelihood of 90 percent of becoming a named storm within the next 2-5 days. The tropical wave is currently in the central Atlantic Ocean.

Conditions for this system are becoming more conducive, and as the system moves westward, it makes it more likely that this system could form into a tropical depression within the next two days.

Areas that could be affected and should be on guard over the next few days include the Lesser Antilles, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Cuba, and the Bahamas.

Third system currently has 20% chance of development

A third system off of the western coast of Africa is being given a 20% chance of development.

This system is currently a vigorous tropical wave and conditions become marginally favorable for further development over the next 5 days.
