Temperatures are already heating up across the nation, and the thermometer is going to rise even higher through the Labor Day weekend, especially in the west where over 300 records could be shattered.
Temperatures are already climbing in many parts of the nation today as it’s going to get even hotter for the Labor Day weekend, so get ready to sweat and make sure you have the best deodorant.
In the west, scorching temperatures could reach historic levels for September shattering upwards of 300 records. At least 150 record maximum lows, meaning the overnight temperatures could reach record highs, as well as 150 record maximum daytime highs could be set over through Labor Day, CNN reports.
High temperatures in parts of the west are expected to be near or over 100 degrees, while in the Southwest temperatures could be near or over 120 degrees Friday through Sunday.
Over 150 Americans are under some type of heat alert in the West today, but the West isn’t the only place heating up. Parts of the south and southeast are also under heat advisories for Thursday. Temperatures are expected to climb even higher Friday through Sunday.
