Nearly half the nation will see snowfall on Monday, as a band of storms stretches the entirety of the nation, and at least 20 states will see rain or snow today… Here’s what you can expect.

Snow, rain across 20 states as storms span the nation

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snow could fall over many parts of the West, stretching across the Midwest, into the Ohio Valley and parts of the mid-Atlantic.

If you’ve been searching for job openings near me, it could be a bad day for in-person interviews, as travel may be difficult across much of the nation.

Heavy snow could fall over portions of California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico in the West, as well as portions of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois in the Midwest and Ohio Valley.

A potential ice storm could spread from Kansas into Iowa and Missouri, over parts of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, the Virginians, Pennsylvania and New York, as well as into parts of Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia.

Thunderstorms are expected over much of the South spanning from Texas to the Carolinas, from the Gulf States into parts of the Ohio Valley.

The West Coast will see a little bit of everything, which is prompted the National Weather Service to issue a variety of alerts that include wind, rain, storm, winter storm and freeze warnings. Nearly the entire state of California is under some type of warning on Monday. Thunderstorms will be prevalent along the West Coast, while sleet and snow is forecast inland.
