Twin Peaks co-creator David Lynch is doing the world a service by giving us a break from pandemic news and politics by uploading a daily weather report on YouTube. He has been uploading his weather reports since mid-May to his David Lynch Theater YouTube channel.
The filmmaker sits in what looks like a basement, or a bunker of some sort, surrounded by random interesting objects such as a landline telephone, and of course, his signature ‘damn fine cup of coffee’.
In today’s forecast Lynch, who was wearing a black shirt and sunglasses, looked into the camera and stated the date and day of the week. Then, he got down to business:
“Here in L.A. some slight haze this morning, very still right now, around 68 degrees Fahrenheit, 20 degrees Celsius.” He says while stretching from his seat to see out the window.
“Today I am thinking about Burt Bacharach and Dion Warwick, and what the world needs right now.”
“Should be going up to around 89 degrees Fahrenheit this afternoon about 32 degrees Celsius, and with any luck at all we’ll be enjoying those beautiful blue skies and golden sunshine all along the way.”
“Everyone, have a great day.”
