Snowfall throughout all Western states and into the Midwest, while freezing rain will stretch from Texas into the Ohio Valley, as much of the South will see thunderstorms with potential flooding, big storm on Thursday.

Outlook for Wednesday

Snow is forecast over portions of all the Western states, moving over the Midwest, and some snow in the East over Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. Snow for nearly the entirety of Washington, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, and Nebraska. Heavy snow over portions of Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Freezing rain will stretch from Texas into Indiana, over portions of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Illinois.

Thunderstorms for much of the South including Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Illinois.

Potential flash flooding over parts of Arkansas and Tennessee.

Rain for the Southeast and sporadic showers over parts of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast, with a wintry mix in some areas.

A big winter storm moves in on Thursday, with snow stretching from coast to coast. Here is your two-day forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS).

Snow from coast-to-coast over portions of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

A massive band of freezing rain will stretch from the south-central US into the Northeast. The weather system will bring a potential sleet and ice storm for Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York.

Thunderstorms over the South affecting portions of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and Kentucky.

Potential flash flooding over parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Ohio.

Friday:

There is spotty snow over the west in parts of Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Snow over Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

Heavy snow in the Northeast over New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
